LOVELY 1980 CHRISTMAS CARD
OF PRINCE CHARLES WITH QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER

A Christmas card for 1980, the opening cover with HRH The Prince
of Wales crest, the interior with a printed color photo of HRH
Prince Charles and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.
If love was in the air, you
wouldn’t know it from Charles’s Christmas card. The
Prince featured his grandmother, the Queen Mother. That summer
saw celebrations to mark her 80th birthday, and the heir apparent
must have wondered if he would one day earn as much respect from
the British public as she had earned. Meanwhile, he had yet to
become involved with the little-known Lady Diana Spencer, who
would for a while eclipse both of them.
The printed message with all
good wishes for Christmas and the New Year, signed and with love
and gratitude from Charles Hand signed. Not auto

RARE CHRISTMAS CARD SHOWING
PRINCE CHARLES WITH A BEARD
Item 2026 -
This rare card was sent to someone named David in 1976. The black
and white photo is of Prince Charles aboard his ship. He is sporting
a beard. It is signed in ink , "and lots of love from Charles."
There is a slight tear on the backside of this card which does
detract from it's rarity or value. This is the only Christmas
card in existence showing Charles with a beard. Hand signed.

Item 2033- Princess
Anne signed very few items including photos, Christmas cards,
etc. This hand signed card was sent after her divorce from Captain
Mark Phillips and prior to her marriage to her current husband.
Princess Anne was born August
15, 1950. She married her first husband Captain Mark Phillips
on November 14, 1973. They divorced on April 23, 1992. They had
two children, Peter Mark Andrew Phillips born in 1977 and Zara
Anne Elizabeth Phillips born in 1980.
Princess Anne married Vice-Admiral
Timothy Laurence on December 12, 1992.
It is , "to you both"

a young Princess Anne and a baby Prince Andrew. Remember, this
card is auto pen signed. You must be careful when buying signed
Christmas cards. Many cards being offered on the Internet by dealers
and on auction sites are described as original signatures when
, in fact, they are auto pen signatures. Just because there is
a personal greeting to someone does not make the signature authentic.
The royal family sends thousands of cards each year. They are
given to the royal family member with the auto pen finished. They

This 1972 is another of my favorite Christmas cards. This is the
first of eight cards from the Queen Mum to her "darling David".
This photograph of the Queen Mother is so beautiful. She was such
a lovely, gracious lady. This card is written to her grandson,
Lord David Armstrong-Jones Viscount Linley. David Linley is the
son of the late Princess Margaret, second daughter of the Queen
Mother and sister to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. She writes,
"Darling David" and has signed the card, "from
Granny."She is framed with a soft fern green matte. There
are few cards from the Queen Mother to a relative. This is a RARE

ANOTHER IN A SERIES OF
CARDS FROM THE QUEEN MOTHER TO HER GRANDSON DAVID LINLEY
Item 2039-
This is the second of eight cards. This 1983 color photograph
of the Queen Mother is as wonderful as the above black and white
card. I loved the Queen Mum's hats and jewelry. I wish , we here
in the US dressed more formally. This card is also to her grandson,
David Linley, son of the late Princess Margaret. It is written
to, "darling David" and signed, "from Granny".
These cards are some of the rarest you will ever find! This card
is framed with a light blue matte. The color was a favorite of
the Queen Mum. She was often photographed wearing light blue.
