Dear _________
While everything is still blistering fresh in my mind and the
stiffness lingers on (mostly
falling off on Friday, I hasten to add) I wanted to take this
opportunity to try and express
to you my sincere gratitude for being the most long suffering,
generous, good-humored,
trusting and (can't read) couple the National Hunt world has ever
seen.
I can never possible thank you enough for all you have done to
make it possible for me
to ride at Sandown yesterday. I think it really must be counted
as one of the most
exciting and rewarding things I have ever done in my life and
the sense of believed
achievement yesterday afternoon was positively invigorating. I
have never come across
such demonstrative enthusiasm for anything I have ever done --
not even from my friend
s -- I was amazed & deeply touched by the reaction. What a
unique & wonderful thing it
is - that particularly between man and horse. I do hope the squire
is aware , to some
extent of the pleasure & excitement that the (can't read).
I mustn't go on too long about al this because I really am in
severe danger of supreme
steeplechase bore. I know now that I shall end up just like Sir
Reginald Mac Donald-
Buchanan and a generation of trainees wives, as yet unknown, will
collapse with
hysterics as I potter round race courses in a state of sublime
senility!
Anyway, the point of this letter is to offer my admiring thanks
for introducing me to
steeple chasing and for all the fun I had at Sanborn up to now.
I now cannot wait to
acquire my own horse, in the event of which I sincerely hope I
will not emulate he
financial proclivities of dear Sir Broderick Munro Wilson. See
you on Wednesday.
Written with all possible affectionate gratitude, Charles

SOLD You are looking at a rare piece of history. This bracelet belonged the most famous women of all time.Imagine owning and wearing a piece of jewelry once belonging to Princess Diana. As we all know, Diana loved children. One of her favorites was the daughter of a good friend, who she invited to be in her wedding . She loved this little girl and stayed friends with her until her death in 1997. Now a grown woman loved visiting Diana at Highgrove. After many of her visits, Diana would send her little gifts and note cards. Diana had a collection of enameled bracelets she wore all through her teenage years. After many visits, she would select a bracelet and send it to her little friend. A British magazine did an article last year on her bridesmaids. I quote from the article, "I got to know all the other bridesmaids and page boys and we had a lot of fun, although I don't see any of them now. I remember going down to Highgrove and she (Diana) showed me all over the house. We went into the kitchen and she said, "Here's the cupboard where the biscuits are kept. If you ever feel hungry, help yourself." In her bathroom, she had a lot of enameled bracelets and each time I visited she would give me one. I was so thrilled to have some grown-up jewelry. This one bracelet is being offered with the gift tag. Along with the bracelet and the gift tag, you will receive a copy of the British magazine carrying the story of her bridesmaid who fondly remembered Diana, the woman she used to call her big sister.
This dark blue cloisonne bracelet is one of five bangles sent to her little bridesmaid. It comes with a little note cards which reads, " Love Diana". The little note is somewhat soiled, having been kept for 26 years. Remember, this isn't a gift purchased. This was Diana's bracelet. SOLD

Dear _______
Thank you so much for letting me know how Allibar is getting on.
Paddy told me the
other day that she is being a real "maiden" but perhaps
she is beginning to settle down
now .... He always said she would be awkward to deal with but
hopefully your (can't
read) will be just what she needs! I shall be fascinated to see
what she looks like when
she comes back, all muscled up and looking like a racehorse. Lets
hope she schools will
over the jumps.
(Can't read the name ) and Bridget have been up staying with my
grandmother and it
has been great fun seeing them every now and then. They managed
to lighten things up a
bit as the weather is continuously atrocious!
Diana sends her love to you both

We are thrilled with our new arrival, but can't get used to the
idea of being a father of
two-- it all seems much too grown up somehow!
I do hope all goes well with Jon & please give my love to
Irene.
Love, forever Charles
