POSTCARD FROM PRINCE CHARLES MAILED IN 1981 (PRE WEDDING)

Item 3084 - This is an amazing postcard from Prince Charles was sent through the mail.. It was written on January 31, 1981.

Dear ____________________
This will probably only reach you after I have seen you on my return, but I wanted you
to know that I have been taking my training very seriously & have been building up the
thigh muscles with non-stop skiing. I even went in for a marathon relay race so see how
many kilometers you could cover as a team of 2, in one day. I have never skied to hard in
my life & we managed 59 kilometers - and won 2nd prize. It's always second prize
nowadays- I never seem to be able to break through the winning barrier, darn it! The
press are even worse than usual this year & hardly ever leave us alone. Good for the
sense of humor I suppose. Nothing else. Am hoping I'll do better with Allibar!
Love, Charles

He was complaining of the press in 1981 when it was nothing. After his marriage the press was like nothing ever seen before. There will never be anyone to rival the interest in Diana! I don't see Camilla's face on the cover of fashion magazines! $5,500.00 sale $3,500.00 plus postage Order

wishes on my birthday.

Margaret (signed by Princess Margaret)

Princess Margaret was the most beautiful royal of her time. It is sad she was forbidden from marrying the man she loved because he had been divorced. I often wonder what she must have thought in later years watching all the royal divorces, scandals, etc. All too sad!! $1,295.00 sale $995.00 plus postage Order
